Sail West Victoria

The team headed by ferry to Victoria for the three day Sail West Regatta.

Thanks to Mike and Sandra for pulling the Opti trailer over and Ken for pulling Jen's coach boat over.

Teams from all the Western Provinces were there.
We had 15 Lasers and 3 Opti's competing.

We sailed in light air on Friday and had good results from Ricky and Ryan in the Lasers.
Jaime and Alanna faired the best in the Radial .
Emily was the best in the Opti.

Saturday we sat on the water for the day , rafted up for most of the day and went in at 3.30 with no races sailed.

Sunday was better, we got 3 races in with Ricardo winning in the Laser and Alanna 2nd in the Radial and Thomas 2nd Jr in the Radial, Emily was 2nd in the Opti.

A successful regatta , well done to the whole team.

Next stop is the advanced team goes to Squamish for high wind training this week.

Tine , Jen and I coached the event .
Tine was out early on Sunday , on her way to the Youth Worlds to coach Isabella and the rest of the Canadian Team in Denmark.
